China consolidation agents and shipping agents are different but partially overlap in some services.
A consolidation agent mainly focuses on the China-side process: receiving goods from multiple suppliers, warehouse storage, basic inspection, repacking, and combining shipments for efficiency.
A shipping agent mainly focuses on international logistics: booking freight, handling export customs, and delivering goods to the destination country. However, there is an overlap because some shipping agents also offer basic consolidation services, and some consolidation agents can assist with arranging shipping.
